How to use Run Well

Welcome! We’ve designed the Run Well program to provide key strength training, mobility and flexibilty and core work for mama runners like you. Whether you run daily or weekly, preparing your joints and tissues for the impact of running is just as important as the miles logged.

Combine all five Run Well videos throughout your week as pre-run warmups, or strength workouts for days off from running. You’ll find a sample Run Well weekly plan below. Favourite these workouts to come back to them weekly and keep your body strong and mobile so you can run well, mama

Runner's Mobility (10:44)

Use this 10-minute, full-body mobility sequence as a morning routine or a  cool-down or evening stretching routine. This workout also makes a fab warm-up for the Upper + Lower Body Strength videos in the Run Well series.

Muscle Activation (15:07)

Running relies heavily on repetitive motions with specific muscles, making strain injuries common. Warm up before your run with this muscle activation routine that will fire up the brain-body connection and help you feel the power of your glutes, back and core muscles.

Upper Body + Core Strength (17:46)

A strong. mobile upper body and core help you propel yourself with a straight, efficient stride in addition to reducing strain to your shoulders and back. This workout is challenging enough to act as a stand-alone session or can be combined with the Lower Body + Core video.

Your legs and hips need strength for hills, wind and uneven terrain, plus endurance to help you stay aligned and engaged as you cover miles. Build both with this workout, or pair it with Upper Body + Core for a longer, total-body strength session.
