Chantal is expecting her first baby. Like, any day now. For 27 weeks she has trained at our Bloor West Belly Bootcamp location, sweating it out alongside her fellow expecting mommies. Chantal always impresses us with her strength & endurance, and her quiet determination. We can’t wait to see what she can do when she comes back in postpartum minus the belly!
WHAT BROUGHT YOU TO BB? HOW LONG DID YOU TRAIN?
I knew that keeping up with fitness during pregnancy would be good for both me and my baby so I searched the internet to find pre-natal classes near me and started with Belly Bootcamp at 13 weeks. I’ve just done my last prenatal workout this weekend. I’m 40 weeks now!
WHAT RESULTS HAVE YOU EXPERIENCED?
Being surrounded by pregnant people who continue to come to class week after week made it easier to stay motivated to keep working out. It’s helped me to stay positive as my body has grown and grown… and grown, and as it’s become more difficult to move around.
HOW DO YOU STAY ACTIVE OUTSIDE OF BB?
I continued with my regular bootcamp classes twice a week and just used some of the modifications I learned at Belly Bootcamp when the exercises became more and more difficult to execute.
WHAT IS YOUR #1 FITNESS GOAL NOW?
To focus on a smooth post-delivery recovery so that I can get back to classes. Fitting into my jeans again is high on the list of priorities as well.
FAVE HEALTHY FOOD?
Pregnant: fruit. Not-pregnant: salads

LAST SPLURGE FOOD OR DRINK?
Kit Kat Chunky Bar – I am afraid my daughter is going to look like one.
